Rochester’s Jazz Station, Member Supported Jazz90.1, broadcasts live on the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To listen live to Jazz90.1, you have a few choices. You can click on the buttons below to launch each of the streams, or you can download the free Jazz90.1 app for your iPhone or Android device. If you have trouble clicking on the links below, try pasting this stream address right into your browser:
**We’ve been made aware of issues with Windows 10 not allowing listeners to “Listen Live” to Jazz90.1. Here’s some instructions on how to address this issue.
Go into the Windows Store (the shopping bag icon), and search for VLC. Select “VLC for Windows Store.” Install it, and it will handle all your streaming media, including Jazz 90.1, perfectly. Once you’ve downloaded and installed VLC, go to your Windows 10 Settings, select System, and select Default apps. For Music Player, you’ll probably see Groove Music. Click on that. From the pop-up menu, pick VLC media player. You can also scroll down and set VLC for your video player if it isn’t already. Scroll to the very bottom of that window, and you’ll see the link “Choose default apps by file type.” Click it. Scroll down until you find .m3u (that list is alphabetical). Click on “Groove Music.” Select “VLC media player.”
Then, click on either “high speed” or “low bandwidth” above depending on the speed of your Internet connection. Your browser will download a file called “jazz901Stream.m3u” – click on that, and VLC will start and play for you.
