Rob Linton

Rob Linton joined the Jazz90.1 family in November of 2004 as Station Manager. Since then, his goal has been to keep this great radio station alive and well, broadcasting great jazz 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Rob came to Jazz90.1 from 1180 WHAM in Rochester, New York where he served as News Anchor, Producer and Public Service Director. He began with WHAM when he was just 18 years old, and a freshman in college.

His work at Clear Channel Broadcasting (owner of 1180 WHAM and 6 other local radio stations) also included the role of Promotions Coordinator for 106.7 KISS FM, 100.5 The Drive, Sunny 102.3, 95.1 The Fox and Hot Talk 1280 WHTK.

Before coming to WHAM, Rob worked at WWWG 1460AM as a producer and DJ while still in High School.

Over the years, Rob has helped report on events such as the September 11th terror attacks, numerous elections, ice storms, and other local events. His voice has also been heard on KISS 107FM, Hot Talk 1280, 100.5 The Drive and Sunny 102.3.

Rob is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Oswego where he obtained a Master’s degree in Vocational Education, St. John Fisher College where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Journalism, and Monroe Community College where he earned an Associates in Television and Photography. Rob also holds a New York State teaching certification in Media Communications.

While in High School Rob also attended the WE-MO-CO Career and Technical Center during his junior and senior years, where he obtained a vocational degree in Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Rob also began his own mobile disc jockey service at age 17 which he operates in full force today, playing weddings, graduations and other events, large or small.
