Cory’s passion for jazz started at a young age.  Introduced to the genre by his dad, Cory grew a fondness and appreciation for Jazz, in all it’s varieties.  Cory was born and raised in Rochester, NY and graduated from West Irondequoit High School in 2004.  He spent time during Junior High and High School involved in the school district’s media department, helping run & produce the High School’s TV show, and working in various other projects.  Cory eventually joined the Marines, where he was stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA and Okinawa, Japan.  After returning home from the Marines in 2013, Cory started at Monroe Community College, where he received his Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2015.  From there, Cory went on to St. John Fisher College, where he served as an intern at Jazz 90.1 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Media & Communication in 2017.  Once his internship ended, he was offered his first radio show at the station.  Cory eventually moved to Thursday nights, where he hosted a show for approximately one year. Cory stepped away from the station at the end of 2017 to focus on his newborn son and spending some time with his family. Currently working full time, Cory still has a passion for media, and recently came back to the station for a Saturday night show. You can hear Cory every Monday night from 9-11 p.m.
