In the summer of 2007 she walked through the doors of Jazz90.1 to volunteer. With no previous broadcasting experience, relying on acting experience and voice-over training, she jumped into learning radio. The journey began by learning production and board operation enabling her to step up to the microphone as a sub/fill in for various DJ’s. A fun way to learn about jazz, listen to over 5,000 cds. Volunteering behind the scenes gave her knowledge of the day to day operation of the station.
Lynda Wildman volunteers Monday thru Friday hosting a midday jazz show from 10 am to 1 pm, putting all that show prep and counting to good use. Another hat has been added to her head, a paid staff position, office assistant to Rob Linton our station manager.
You can find her at a few Arts and Crafts shows around town selling her fiber art. She does that when she has a few spare minutes.
